My Story

I am a mother of two young children and am currently still breastfeeding. I have experienced many and complex challenges myself in my own lactation journey, which adds to my empathy for the real hurdles and emotions parents face.

I am Internationally Board Certified (IBCLC) as awarded by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE) plus have a background in practical support as an ABA Counsellor and volunteer (Australian Breastfeeding Association Cert IV Breastfeeding Education [Counselling]). I am a member of the Lactation Consultant Association of Australia and New Zealand (LCANZ) and the International Lactation Consultants Association (ILCA).

My previous studies in behavioural neuroscience and education, encompassing childhood development and psychology, combines for a unique perspective in supporting parents with holistic evidence based information - informed by scientific research from the fields of anthropology, psychology, sociology, education and evolutionary biology.

I meld attachment parenting principles with the most current research in dental and airway health, to achieve the best foundations for healthy facial development, gut bacteria microbiome, hormones and mental health. I am a committed lifelong learner and am continually reading and contributing to new research publications. I am a member of several multidisciplinary study groups with Ear Nose and Throat surgeons, Speech and Language Pathologists, dentists, manual therapists, biologists and others, to stay at the forefront of current international best practice.

I also have a Bachelor of Education and a decade of experience working with young families and presenting workshops for parenting in a variety of settings. My diverse personal and professional experience both locally and overseas contributes to my ‘big picture’ worldview in establishing optimal foundations for lifelong health and wellbeing.

I provide thorough care throughout the parenting journey - from prenatal preparation, lactation, solids & weaning, including related physical & complex issues that may arise. I conduct full oral assessments, follow up and referrals.

➔ We have a grip on the real biological essentials of sleep, nutrition and dietetics - for both mothers and babies.

We are your village.
➔ We support you in the nuances of parenting. We write referrals and call to keep a holistic connection between your doctors, surgeons, manual therapists and other practitioners to keep everyone informed of how best to help you, if you wish.
➔ I have breastfed kids myself through some of the very challenging issues first hand and am currently breastfeeding, too.

We meet your goals.

We specialise in complex cases.
➔ We work with multilayered mothers’ issues and babies’ physical difficulties. From endocrine (hormonal), physical, to the musculoskeletal, to disease  pathology and complex syndromes. We liaise with other medical staff and allied health

We educate others for you.
➔ We advocate for babies and provide data and evidence for what we do and what we suggest. I have gigabytes of research evidence I have collected for my practice and can connect you to evidence based research papers and studies.
